Direct Delivery Service

For ALL Direct Home Delivery orders, we use a company called BJS Couriers. This is for both 1 man and 2 man deliveries.

The process for ordering is as follows:

1) You send the orders to dhd@wholesalebeds.co.uk. This is what we call DAY 1. All orders received before 12pm on that working day are sent to BJS. All orders received after 12pm on Friday (except Good Friday or the Christmas period) will be processed the following working day (usually Monday unless it is a Bank Holiday or over the Christmas period).

2) We book the collection from our warehouse for the following working day, and this is collected. This is what we call DAY 2.

3) For the majority of the UK, the order is delivered. This is what we call DAY 3.

PLEASE NOTE THE CONTACT PROCESS – AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

FOR HOME DELIVERIES:

When sending your orders through, please provide us with an email address and mobile number. This number should be one that your customer has access to, and not a work phone that they could leave at work overnight.

Your customer will be sent a link to accept or refuse the proposed delivery date. This is sent via email, SMS message and WhatsApp to avoid any missed communication. Once an agreed date has been confirmed, the customer will receive a message through these channels the night before the agreed delivery date (usually between 6 & 9pm) with a delivery slot. It is important that the customer is in during those hours, as the delivery slot cannot be amended at this point. Please note: BJS can deliver anytime from 7am – 9pm.

The customer will also receive a call from the delivery driver 30 minutes to an hour before, confirming the ETA of delivery.

IF THE CUSTOMER IS NOT IN WHEN THE DELIVERY IS ATTEMPTED; there is a failed delivery charge of 50% applicable as BJS will have to return the item to their warehouse. BJS will then contact the customer to arrange re-delivery through the same communication methods as before. However, the original delivery charge will apply again, so a failed delivery will incur 2.5 times the original delivery charge. We cannot be held responsible for this charge and have no alternative but to pass this on to you.

FOR BUSINESS ADDRESS DELIVERIES: As previously stated, BJS can deliver anytime from 7am-9pm. We do appreciate that some businesses do not operate within these delivery times, so we can offer a Business Hours Service. Delivery times for this service are 9am-5pm. The ordering and contacting process is exactly the same as for home deliveries, but BJS will schedule a delivery slot between those hours. There is a surcharge for this (please ask for details), but when compared to a failed delivery and re-attempted delivery cost it is highly recommended to use the Business Hours Service.

LEAVE SAFE: If your customer has a safe place, please advise when ordering. If the customer requests this after we have shipped the order, the room of choice charge will be added. 

As always, if you already use a courier service and wish to send them in to collect on your behalf, you are more than welcome to do so.
